Jamtalhütte lodge
The Jamtal is one of the most important side valleys of the Paznaun, so it is hardly surprising that one of the largest and most modern Alpine Club huts in the Silvretta, with 180 beds, is located here. The Jamtal Hut, run by the DAV Schwaben, is located at the end of the Jamtal valley at 2,164 m south of Galtür and serves as the Alpine Training Center of the German Alpine Club (DAV). Countless peaks of the blue Silvretta await mountaineers, but the approach is also easy for non-mountaineers and very scenic. With two modern seminar rooms and an indoor climbing room, the historic hut not only offers perfect conditions for alpine training, but also culinary delights for gourmets with its Culinary Way of St. James. Hikers, mountaineers, mountain bikers, climbers, and families all meet at the Jamtal Hut, because there is hardly anywhere else where you will find such a wide range of activities for sports enthusiasts as here.
