Weiberhimml lodge

The Weiberhimml – a Galtür original. Conveniently located directly on Kopsstrasse, easily accessible by bus or car, but also a stopping point for hikers and bikers.

In the summer, the Weiberhimml treats its guests to delicacies from its own farming and alpine agriculture.
Enjoy breathtaking views of the valley from the spacious sun terrace or warm up in the cozy parlor.
A playground with a climbing tower, slide, swing, and sandpile is available for the little guests.

WHY "WEIBERHIMML"? In the time when a visit to a sweetheart (the so-called "Hangert") in the neighboring village still took a day’s journey, the girls had to earn their daily bread in the stable and in the fields! Due to the harsh climate, there were few crops in Galtür, and the hard work in the fields was carried out by young men and men! If a girl married in Galtür, she was well taken care of in the "Weiberhimml"!
