The Ludwig Dürr Trail: Friedrichshafener Hütte – Darmstädter Hütte

                Description

                High alpine variant:
This stage leads over the famous and challenging Ludwig-Dürr-Weg trail. From the Friedrichshafener Hütte, the trail leads over numerous streams around the Muttenalpe and the Lumpaschadseele towards Matnaljoch or via the Dürrschartli at 2,666 metres. From there, the marked high alpine trail leads 3.7 km through scree and snowfields over the Schönpleisübergang to the Zwischengrat at 2,770 m. After crossing several snowfields and steep passages, but also enjoying beautiful views of the Madlein, you finally reach the Rautejoch at 2,752 m. From here, you can already see the Darmstädter Hütte, which can be reached partly via the glacier tongues of the Küchelferner.
Caution: This stage is an extremely high alpine climb. It is the most difficult part of the Paznauner Höhenweg and requires detailed planning, alpine experience and knowledge.
