The Nordic Sprint Race in Galtür brings excitement, speed and tactics to the cross-country ski trail – and is one of the absolute highlights of the Nordic racing calendar. In the heart of picturesque Galtür Winkl, participants and spectators alike can look forward to a thrilling sprint format in free technique.
The course runs over a compact 1,300-meter loop with 21 meters of elevation gain – technically demanding and ideal for exciting position battles. After an individual time trial in the qualification round, the fastest 30 athletes continue in a knockout format: one lap per heat, six athletes at a time, with only the best advancing. Adrenaline guaranteed.
Whether you are an ambitious amateur or a World Cup-experienced professional, the race is open to anyone with a passion for cross-country skiing. Participation is part of the FIS race, the Austria Cup and the popular public race.
