Bridge foundation and management level

13.06. - 26.06.2025

The expansion of the infrastructure is the focus, both on the terrain and directly at the stations. An important section at the valley station has been completed: the so-called turnaround area is finished. At the same time, construction work has begun on the future administration building. This part of the building is also taking shape.

Along the route, utility lines are currently being installed. A walking excavator is being used here, which is particularly well suited for steep and difficult terrain. This allows the work to be carried out efficiently and with minimal impact on the landscape.

A first step has also been taken at the site of the future pedestrian crossing. A specialized drilling machine is currently boring up to ten meters deep into the ground to install stable piles for the bridge foundation. These will later support the bridge structure and ensure a long-lasting and secure anchoring in the terrain.

There is also visible progress at the top station. A layer of bitumen has been applied to the first ceiling slab. This reliably protects the underlying structure from moisture and forms the basis for further construction above.

You can feel how everything connects: day by day, more details and components come together to ensure the future safe and seamless operation of the new Diasbahn.

Valley Station - Administration Level

At the valley station building, work has begun on the administration level. This area will later house essential infrastructure and office space for the operation and management of Bergbahnen Kappl.

At the valley station, the counter station was sealed with a layer of bitumen. This reliably protects against moisture and prepares the surface for further development.

Drilling Work for the Bridge Foundation

A specialized drilling machine is currently placing piles up to ten meters deep into the ground. These form the foundation of the new pedestrian bridge and provide a solid, long-term anchor.

Cable Installation Along the Route

Cables are being laid along the future cable car route. The walking excavator enables precise work even in hard-to-reach terrain, while minimizing the impact on the environment.

Cable Installation Near the Top Station

Below the top station, a crawler excavator is in use as utility lines are being prepared and technical systems installed.

Top Station

Gondola Terminal and Final Floor - at the top station, the gondola terminal – and with it, the final floor of the building – is now nearing completion. This marks another major milestone on the way to the fully constructed station.

Shaping the Future Together: Investing in Comfort and Quality

With the construction of the new Dias cable car in Kappl – a modern link to the high-altitude ski area – and the new Familienglück lift in See, the Bergbahnen Kappl and Bergbahnen See are jointly investing in future-proof infrastructure and enhanced comfort. A total investment of around 25 million euros is being made to modernize both facilities. This is a strong signal for the sustainable development of the Kappl-See ski network and a clear commitment to the region.
