THE WEATHER TODAY
Subtropical warm to hot air masses reach our country from the southwest. Temperatures are gradually heading towards a significant peak. On Friday, the sun will once again shine for longer periods and it will mostly remain largely thunderstorm-free. On Saturday, the air will become more humid and unstable. While high pressure will initially dominate with plenty of sunshine, thunderstorms with the potential for severe weather may develop later in the day, at least regionally. On Sunday, there will be fewer hours of sunshine overall, but it will once again be oppressively humid. The risk of thunderstorms will increase significantly in the second half of the day. By Monday, the humid air from the weekend will be pushed eastwards. An Atlantic front will bring the last rain showers early on Monday morning before the weather improves during the day. A new high will then attempt to move in from the west.
