Excellent piste conditions and the open-air concert with the German band PUR ensured an atmospheric and record-breaking season opening in the Alpine lifestyle metropolis on 26 November.
"Come with me to adventure land" - 22,000 winter sports fans celebrated a record-breaking start to the winter season at this year's Top of the Mountain Opening Concert on 26 November to the legendary hits of German pop band PUR. Against a dreamlike backdrop in the Tyrolean lifestyle metropolis of Ischgl, feel-good songs such as "Ich lieb Dich", "Lena" and "Achtung" put the audience in an exuberant mood. The organisers were also in an exuberant mood and were delighted to welcome a record number of visitors.
The piste conditions during the day also made the winter sports enthusiasts' eyes sparkle: Despite the onset of warm weather, the snowfall at the beginning of November provided fantastic piste conditions in the ski area. From now until the end of April, the "Adventureland Ischgl" offers skiing on countless kilometres of pistes - from Austria to Switzerland.
New this winter: The spectacular descent with the two-kilometre-long "Ischgl Skyfly" Flying Fox facility and the forays with the "iSki Ischgl App" on the new gold, silver and bronze smuggler circuits. Two band members, drummer Frank Dapper and bassist Joe Crawford, took the opportunity to open the Flying Fox facility for winter operation together with representatives of the cable car company and the tourism association and to test the Ischgl Skyfly themselves.
