The Paznaun valley for wheelchair users: inclusive holiday fun

In Ischgl, Galtür, Kappl and See

The Paznaun valley is there for everyone! To make the picturesque mountain landscapes accessible for all guests, we strive to make the holiday region surrounding Ischgl, Galtür, Kappl and See as disabled-friendly as possible. Get active and find out about accessible sights and attractions – we want your stay to be carefree and relaxed!

  • The exhibitions at the Alpinarium Galtür are accessible to all visitors, with the exception of the roof platform, which is not wheelchair accessible. The building is also equipped with disabled toilets.
  • Galtürs cable cars are also easily accessible by wheelchair. A ramp is available for access to the gondola. There is also a disabled toilet at the mountain station.
  • Sports fans will get their money's worth on the municipality's outdoor tennis courts, as the facilities have been designed to be wheelchair accessible. Please note: tennis wheelchairs are not available on site, so please bring your own model with you!

The Silvretta Therme has accessible entrances, enabling a relaxing spa break for all those seeking relaxation.

The Cable Car Museum in Ischgl has disabled access, making this cultural asset accessible to all visitors.

The Silvretta cable car in Ischgl is sensitive to the needs of people with disabilities. The gondolas are accessible at ground level, and there is a disabled toilet at the mountain station.

Signposted disabled parking spaces directly at the valley stations in the village:

 

Accessible lift to the boarding point of the Silvrettabahn A1 and Pardatschgrat A2 cable cars
The gondolas have an Extra-wide, level entrance and sufficient space for wheelchairs.

Up the mountain:
When travelling uphill on a chairlift or drag lift, the speed will be reduced on request. This ensures safe boarding and disembarking as well as a safe journey.

The following disabled-friendly toilet facilities are available for your use

  • Restaurant Panorama, mountain station of Silvretta- und Fimbabahn
  • Restaurant Pardorama, mountain station of Pardatschgratbahn
  • Restaurant Alpenhaus
  • Restaurant Gampenalp
  • Restaurant Höllboden 
  • Restaurant Slope Food

Additional disabled-friendly toilet facilities are located at the Fimbabahn valley station, the Pardatschgratbahn valley station, and at the toilet facilities at the Silvretta car park east and the Florian car park.

The toilet facilities are freely accessible during regular opening hours.
For your information: Wheelchairs are not available.
There are generally no toilet facilities at any of the other mountain stations.

  • The new railway is barrier-free. Disabled parking spaces are located directly at the Dias Railway, and a lift leads directly to the entrance.
  • The tennis court in Kappl is easily accessible – without any structural barriers. Wheelchair users also receive a 20% discount. As tennis wheelchairs are not provided, users must bring their own wheelchairs.
  • At the See cable cars, lift staff are on hand to help wheelchair users up the steps and into the gondola. Please note: there are no disabled toilets at the facilities on the mountain itself.
  • The game sports waterpark is also accessible and has a water lift.
  • The tennis court in See is accessible. However, please note that tennis wheelchairs are not available and must therefore be brought along.
