Sugababes and Atomic Kitten didn't just melt the Easter snow in Ischgl
As always, the small Silvretta town of Ischgl showed itself to be big when it comes to winter sports and entertainment. The two top girl bands Sugababes and Atomic Kitten performed on Easter Monday. With their infectious mix of rhythm, blues and pop, their charm and a sexy performance, they created the kind of "snowmelt" that can only be experienced on the Idalp open-air stage in front of the magnificent Alpine panorama surrounding the show stage.
14,000 fans travelled to Ischgl - to the still white Silvretta - not only to attend the famous Easter open-air concert on the Idalp, but also to savour the Ischgl flair. The Sugababes and Atomic Kitten provided the sweet flavour. After the Sugababes presented the hits from their new album "Angels With Dirty Faces" to their fans, they took the opportunity to whizz down the piste in summery outfits on a skimobile.
When Atomic Kitten took to the stage, the weather took a turn for the worse, but with the songs from their freshly produced album "Feels So Good", the three atomic kittens spread summer vibes at an altitude of 2,300 metres. Supported by three male dancers, their song "Love Doesn't Have To Hurt" earned them appreciative applause.
For all ski fans who don't want to part with winter sports, there will be a special highlight on 3 May 2003 before the official ski season ends on 4 May, in addition to perfectly groomed pistes and the possibility to ski down into the valley: Udo Jürgens, one of the all-time greats, will be performing the "Top of the Mountain Concert" on the Idalp. So all ski fans can once again indulge in creamy firn to their heart's content to the appropriate song "Aber bitte mit Sahne".
When Ischgl kicks off the summer, things get really hot: this year, the Fire Sculpture Contest is taking place for the fourth time under the motto "Firebird".
