Shapes in White 2026 in Ischgl
The international snow sculpture competition “Shapes in White” in Ischgl once again impressed visitors this year. In January, nine artist teams transformed the Silvretta Arena into a stunning open-air gallery, creating detailed and imaginative snow sculptures set against the alpine winter landscape.
First place went to Armin Rifesser and Ivan Holzknecht with “Winter Fun in Ischgl”. Second place was awarded to Stefan Malsiner and Thomas Mussner for “Cheerleader – Ho ho ho Team Goooo”, followed by Ivo and Damian Piazza in third place with “Para-Cycling – No Barriers”.
The long-standing Formen in White snow sculpture competition is a highlight of the Ischgl winter season, combining creativity, craftsmanship and the unique mountain setting i<nto an unforgettable experience.
Motto 2026: LEGO® meets Sports
In 2026, Ischgl transformed into a world of creativity with “LEGO® meets Sports” – a playful fusion of dynamic sports themes and the unmistakable LEGO brick aesthetic.
The sculptures showcase purely artistic interpretations of sports like football, Formel 1, tennis, sledding and more – all inspired by the creative universe of LEGO.
The sculptures focused on:
- LEGO-style design: bold shapes, iconic brick textures, and clean lines
- Whimsical figures, inspired by LEGO City and NINJAGO characters
